( Covid 19)provision of off-grid PV systems for 5 facilities in multiple locations in Yemen
Tajadod Solar Energy Company has implemented a strategic project aimed at providing off-grid photovoltaic systems for five facilities located in various regions across Yemen. The project was funded by the World Bank through the United Nations Office for Project Services (UNOPS).
Project Details:
Number of sites: 5 sites in Hadramout, Al-Mahrah, and Shabwah
Number of solar panels: 828 panels, each with a capacity of 360 (W)
System capacity per site: Ranging between 47 (kW) and 67.5 (kW)
Total installed capacity: 296.5 (kW)
This off-grid photovoltaic systems project has significantly strengthened the ability of the targeted hospitals to provide continuous and safe healthcare services, especially in areas experiencing frequent power outages or complete absence of access to the public electricity grid. The solar systems offered a reliable and clean energy source, enabling uninterrupted operation of critical medical equipment. As a result, the project directly contributed to improving the quality of healthcare services in these facilities.
