Provision of off-grid Pv systems in Aden Governorate in Republic of Yemen for Facilities

As part of efforts to enhance sustainable infrastructure and improve access to energy in areas with limited or unreliable electricity coverage, Tajadod Solar Energy implemented a project aimed at constructing control rooms and providing off-grid solar energy systems at several key sites across Aden Governorate. The project was funded by the World Bank through the United Nations Office for Project Services (UNOPS).

Project Details:

·         Number of Sites: 24

·         Number of Solar Panels: 1,128 panels, each with a capacity of 365 (W)

·         System Capacity per Site: Ranges from 10.95 (kW) to 21.9 (kW)

·         Total Capacity: 411.72 (kW)

This project significantly contributed to improving the quality of essential services in the targeted areas by ensuring a reliable and sustainable energy source, thereby reducing dependence on costly fuel-powered generators. It also enhanced the capacity of local institutions to operate efficiently and helped increase the operational reliability of the beneficiary facilities.
